Have you struggled with housing during the Covid-19 crisis?

Injustice Watch is examining housing inequities and evictions, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. We want to hear from you.

Have you experienced homelessness, been evicted, or had issues with your landlord in Chicago or suburban Cook County? Or been to court for a housing-related issue? What kind of resources do you wish you’d had?

Half of Cook County renters were already “cost-burdened” before the pandemic, paying more than half of their income in rent. Widespread layoffs, a patchwork of protections, and the slow rollout of rental assistance have created confusion and a looming eviction crisis. We want you to be part of our reporting process as we investigate how renters are navigating these systems. We’ll report back the information we learn and the resources we find as we go.

Investigations that expose, influence and inform. Emailed directly to you.
