    Resurrected: Five Cook County judicial election losers rebound quickly

    Negative ratings do not dissuade voters in Cook County judicial primary

    D. Renee Jackson and Rhonda Crawford both received ratings of “not recommended” after failing to participate in the evaluation processes of 12 bar groups. But last night they won the Democratic nomination, both beating out other candidates who had received ratings of “qualified” by the same bar groups.

    16 judge candidates fail to win bar support, but will voters care?

    Of the 81 candidates running, 16 have failed to be recommended for the bench by both the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) and the Chicago Council of Lawyers (CCL). Another 13 have received negative evaluations by one or the other.
