Federal prosecutions and convictions are dropping under the Trump administration, according to a new report by The Syracuse University watchdog organization TRAC (Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse).

And more than half of the prosecutions that do occur are for immigration violations, the report shows.

The report appears to contradict, the TRAC report notes, the tough-on-crime talk of the Trump administration.
